Ratchet lock (optional)
The ratchet lock is an automatic arresting mechanism that locks the retracting cable in predetermined positions. It is automatically activated if the working load is moved back slowly. If pushed back quickly, the mechanism remains inactive. This represents a significant ergonomic improvement for some applications.
Patented freewheel device
Our patented freewheel feature provides protection against adjustment errors in our balancer models 7241, 7248, 7251 and 7261. This is achieved by making overrotation in the "minus" direction ineffective, with no impact on the spring. This device effectively prevents spring fracture caused inadvertently when releasing the spring.
